My Cat Purrfect Friends

Having been a feline pet owner of ten cats over the past 15 years, I have come to know the good and bad of caring for pets. From giving them all their own cozy cat bed to sleep in, to finding their favorite cat litter for their pampered paws, I can honestly state that it has been a truly educational and rewarding experience. With their many personalities combined with their boundless energy and unconditional love, my cats have given me an endless source of knowledge and many joyous moments.

Cats are well known for their defiant independence and they waste no time in letting you know that. Once their territorial boundaries have been well established and made known to all living species in the household, it is time to get down to the hard core work of actually trying to take care of them. That's if they let you. Perhaps a well carpeted cat tree to keep them off your furniture and out of mischief, or a few cat toys for them to chase around the room and lose under the couch.

A well cared for pet will usually live a long and healthy life bringing many moments of happiness to those of us who love them. All pets are unique to their owners and are very important to them. Because of the love we have for our pets we tend to spoil them and try to make sure they have everything they want. With so many products on the market to choose from, this can be a daunting task. Sometimes it may be better to just keep it as simple as you can.

Providing our pets with a nutritional diet should be the first concern since this will keep them healthy and energetic. Exercise is extremely important for keeping them fit and active. Giving them a comfortable place to sleep will keep them secure. Visits to the veterinary office for their regular vaccinations and flea medication are a necessity for keeping them safe from unwanted illnesses.

I currently have six surviving cats and each has her own unique personality. Adjusting to their individual wishes can sometimes be difficult but loving them equally is really very easy. Once you become attached, they've got you forever!
